After a week on the Southern Coast of Italy in Positano, Capri, and Amalfi, we headed inland to Tuscany and Lake Garda, finally ending up in the Italian Alps in Northern Italy. Despite the fact that it was mid-September, there was a light dusting of snow in the mountains the day before we arrived, followed by lots of lightning and rain. This resulted in dramatic clouds that greatly enhanced our landscape photography.

We greatly enjoyed the Dolomites and highly recommend a visit here if you love mountains and outdoor activities. Renting a car is a must in order to maximize your experience!

- Corvara
- Piz la Villa
- Alta Badia
- Cortina d'Ampezzo

Must-do activities:
- Ride the ski lifts and gondolas (open summer + winter)
- Hike and bike through the mountains
- Stop and admire the views
- Eat German food (this is the German-speaking part of Italy!)
